Two-Chip Chocolate Chippers

The combination of butter and margarine give these Chocolate Chip cookies a terrific texture. Both Semi-sweet and Milk Chocolate chips are used in this recipe for a sinfully rich, chocolaty flavor. The ultimate treat for the cookie-lovers in your home.

Prep time: 20 min.
Bake time: 8-10 min/batch
Yields: 5 dozen

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c up sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 pkg. (3-4 oz.) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream the butter, margarine and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  2. Combine the flour, pudding mix and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans, if desired.
  4. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 1 inch apart on to ungreased baking sheets; flatten slightly with a glass.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove cookies to wire racks to cool.
