Homemade Lavender Body Scrub

I’ve been experimenting at home with salt scrubs and fell in love with the calming, soothing scent of this homemade lavender body scrub and I just had to share it with you.

Someone brought a lemon sugar scrub to work and let the employees use it and it was the bomb dot com! After a one-time use, my hands were so soft! However, I had a dilemma…since I am now off of all white sugar and your body absorbs what you put on it, I decided it was better for me to experiment with a salt-based body scrub than sugar-based.

This homemade body scrub did NOT disappoint. My arms, legs, feet, and hands were so soft and smooth. Even Mr. Chef felt the difference.

The texture of salt exfoliates your dead skin from your body eliminating several toxins that surface to the skin. Secondly, the coconut oil is an excellent massage oil and moisturizer for the skin. And lastly, lavender essential oil is fragrant, calming, and soothing.
