The first time I ever had Nutella was when I was living in Austria, so when I saw that it was sold in the U.S., in a regular grocery store, in the peanut butter aisle, I was in heaven! There are several chocolaty hazelnut spread alternatives that are dairy-free (and guilt free)! Try one of these 5 versions (or try all 5).

Ingredients
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate hazelnut spread (vegans: try Raw-tella)
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: Coconut whipping cream, Vegan marshmallows, Dash of cinnamon
Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk all ingredients together until well blended and hot; stirring constanly.
  2. Transfer to mugs and top with marshmallows, homemade coconut whipping cream, and a dash of cinnamon.
