Pumpkin Pie with Truvia® Baking Blend

‘Tis the season that we’ll see our weight scale creeping up through the holidays. Sigh…

It’s really hard to watch my weight this time of year with all the amazing spreads of sweets and treats . They say that the average weight gain between Thanksgiving and New Year’s is two pounds–that may not sound like much, but studies who this is two pounds gained and never lost. So think about it, after a decade that annual two pounds turns into twenty pounds! A scary thought.

But who wants to give up sweets and baking during the holidays? Not me! So what can you do to lighten it up? The secret weapon is low-sugar, low-fat dessert recipes that are either naturally sweetened with fruit, or with a no-calorie or reduced-calorie sweetener, like Truvia® products.

This pumpkin pie made with Truvia Baking Blend has 18% fewer calories and 67% less sugar than the full-sugar sweetened version. Bakerette.com #holidaysweets #healthierholidays #truvia #holidaybaking #desserts #baking #happyholidays

Truvia® natural sweetener is a great tasting, zero-calorie sweetener made with the best tasting part of the stevia leaf. One packet provides the same sweetness as two teaspoons of sugar, and is great in coffee, tea, or even on your morning grapefruit. The sweetener is available in 40-, 80- and 140-count boxes, and in a spoonable jar. Truvia® Baking Blend blends Truvia® natural sweetener and sugar to provide a sugar-like taste and texture for recipes, with 75% fewer calories than sugar.
