  • White Sugar (1 cup) – use 1 cup brown sugar or 1 1/4 cups confectioners’ sugar, or 3/4 cup agave/honey, or 3/4 cup corn syrup
  • Brown Sugar, Light (1 cup) – use 1 cup white sugar plus 1/4 cup molasses and decrease the liquid in recipe by 1/4 cup; or 1 cup white sugar or 1-1/4 cups confectioner’s sugar
  • Corn Syrup (1 cup) –  use 1 cup sugar plus 1/4 cup liquid
  • Honey (1 cup) – use 1 cup agave or use 1-1/4 cups sugar and 1/4 cup liquid
  • Molasses (1 cup) – mix together 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • Sweet One – 12 packets equals 1 cup sugar; 1 packet equals 2 tsp sugar
  • Equal (Aspartame) – 24 packets equals 1 cup sugar; 1 packet equals 2 tsp sugar
  • Equal Spoonful (Aspartame) – 1 cup equals 1 cup sugar; 1 tsp equals 1 tsp sugar
  • Splenda (Sucralose) – 1 cup equals 1 cup sugar; 1 tsp equals 1 tsp sugar
  • Stevia – 1 cup sugar equals 1 tsp powdered extract or 1 tsp liquid concentrate; 1 Tbsp sugar equals 1/4 teaspoon powdered extract or 6-9 drops of liquid concentrate; 1 tsp sugar equals a pinch to 1/16 tsp of powdered extract or 2-4 drops of liquid concentrate
  • Sweet ‘N Low (Saccharin) – 4 tsp equals 1 cup brown sugar; 1 tsp equals 1/4 cup brown sugar
